The CANopen SIG “Lift” released the version 2.0 of the CANopen application profile for lift control systems (CiA 417). The completely re-structured specification is partly incompatible to version 1.0. In particular, the specification for some of the virtual devices such as car drive has been revised significantly. Also some PDO specifications have been updated. Part 1 and part 2 of the CiA 417 profile specification can be downloaded free-of-charge in order to provide an insight into CANopen lift. Companies, who like to implement CANopen Lift, also need part 3 and part 4 of CiA 417, which are only available for CiA members.
