On 13 March 2018, the members of the Special Interest Group Lift met to discuss the extensions of the CANopen-Lift standard. The number of participants is still increasing and so the meeting took place for the first time in Nuremberg in a new meeting room in the CiA building. The invitation was again accepted by many international participants from Austria, Denmark, France, Germany, Liechtenstein, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the USA.

To be able to adopt the new version of the DSP, the clarification of some terms in the standard was on the agenda at the beginning of the meeting.

Subsequently, the many proposals for extending the standard were discussed and incorporated into the standard, e.g. for emergency call devices, destination call systems, displays, chat functions and position sensors.

After discussing the open points from the last meeting, the focus was on the revised proposals for the new Position Supervisor Unit and the proposal for a sensor based on acceleration sensors.

The next meeting is planned for September 2018 again in Nuremberg.
