On the 6th of September 2016, the 13th CANopen-Lift PlugFest took place. Host was once again the CiA in Nuremberg. But due to several interested participants, the PlugFest exceeded the capacities of the rooms provided by the CiA, so that it was necessary to rent rooms in the Ibis Nuremburg City hotel.

There, the members of the Special Interest Group Lift met to test their devices’ interoperation. The center of attention was again to support those participants who attended the event for the first time to test their products, as well as the first test of the safety position encoder, which was newly described as a virtual device “Position Supervisor Unit”.

Part of the event were this time five control manufacturers, four frequency converter manufacturers, two suppliers of display systems, one tableau manufacturer, three weighting device manufacturers and two safety position encoder manufacturers.

Recognizable was also the spread of CANopen-Lift to foreign countries, as there was a participant from Czech Republic for the first time. Additionally, participants from Denmark, Germany, France, Lichtenstein, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain and the U.S. had arrived to visit the CANopen-Lift PlugFest. The [[CANopen Lift PlugFest - 2017-04|next CANopen-Lift PlugFest]] is planned to take place at the CiA in Nuremberg in April, 2017.

Zu dem Treffen reisten Entwickler aus Dänemark, Deutschland, Frankreich, Lichtenstein, Schweden, Schweiz, Spanien, Tschechien und den USA an.
