On the 4th of August, 2016, the companies Böhnke + Partners, Cedes, ELFIN, ELGO, Intec., Klinkhammer and Kollmorgen met to revise the definition of the new virtual device Position Supervisor Unit, which offers the possibility to safely evaluate the position and speed of lifts.

The description had been handed in as a proposal to the CiA, and some manufacturers already started the implementation. The new functions are planned to be tested during the next PlugFest on the 6th of September; possible improvements can then be implemented into the current specification.
