The application profile for lifts is described in the standard CANopen CiA 417 lift control.
In December 2009 the version 2.0 of the standard has been published. This version contains many extensions, but also some restructuring, especially in the area of virtual devices 'drive unit', which make it incompatible with version 1.0.
The parts 1 and 2 of the specification can be freely downloaded from the website of CAN in Automation (CiA). The parts 3 and 4 are currently available for CiA members only.
